Our Services

At Wild Side Canines, every service is enrichment-led and welfare-first - built around what dogs naturally enjoy. Walks and visits are structured so dogs can feel safe, settled, and satisfied afterwards - not just tired out.

Sitting Pretty is a reassuring check-in for pets who are happiest at home. It is ideal for puppies who need a toilet break and a little company during the day, senior dogs who prefer a gentler pace, or cats and small pets who don’t need a walk but still benefit from routine and attention.

Each visit is tailored for what your pet needs most. This may be a food and water refill, garden break, play and enrichment to keep their brain busy, or a tidy up to help out the owner. From gentle fuss and fun, to calm cuddles and confidence-boosting routines, your four-legged friend will be happy, relaxed, and well looked after while you’re out.

It can be a helpful option for dogs who find long stretches alone a little tricky, as the visit breaks up the day. If you’re working long hours, travelling, or juggling a busy week, Sitting Pretty keeps your pet comfortable without disrupting their home routine.

Going Solo is a one-to-one walk tailored entirely to your dog. It’s a great choice for dogs who do best with space and steady company, puppies who are learning the ropes, seniors who enjoy a slower pace, or any dog who simply prefers a quieter walk than a group can offer.

As it’s enrichment-led, we don’t rush from A to B. There’s time to sniff, explore and decompress, with calm, reward-based guidance along the way, and one familiar human to focus on. I follow their pace and interest, rather than forcing a route.

Solo walks can also be a brilliant confidence builder for dogs who get overstimulated, need a more predictable routine, or benefit from gentle support out in the real world. With full attention from start to finish, your dog gets a walk that suits them on the day, and you get the reassurance that nothing is being rushed or overlooked.

Join the Pack is a small-group walk for up to four friendly dogs who enjoy a bit of company and benefit from the social side of their day. Groups are kept deliberately small and thoughtfully matched, so it feels more like a regular set of walking pals than a hectic crowd. Wherever possible, I keep groups consistent so dogs can build familiarity and confidence with the same faces over time. I match dogs by size, energy level, play style and temperament, and I keep a close eye on the dynamic throughout the walk so everyone stays safe and comfortable.

These walks are a balanced mix of exploring, sniffing, walking and play, depending on what suits the group on the day. For many dogs, walking with others is enriching in its own right. It gives them the chance to practice calm social skills, take cues from each other, and enjoy the natural rhythm of moving together.

Join the Pack is a great fit for dogs who are relaxed around other dogs and enjoy shared adventures in a structured, well-managed way.

Full day for £45

Walk on the Wild Side is a full-day adventure designed for dogs who thrive on variety, exploration, and quality time outdoors. It suits curious noses, busy brains, and high-energy dogs who can come home from a standard walk still looking for “what’s next”. The day is built around following your dog’s natural instincts safely in new sensory environments, with a small, carefully chosen group and a pace that allows dogs to settle into the experience rather than rush through it.

We leave the city behind for the whole day, giving dogs a proper adventure with a consistent pack and the time they need to switch on, explore, and then wind down.

No two Adventure Days are the same. We might head to the sea, hills, lochs, glens, or woodland trails, chosen with the dogs, the weather, and safety in mind. The focus is always on variety and true adventure, with time to sniff and explore, space to run, and opportunities to swim and enjoy the environment. The day is carefully paced with structured rest breaks so dogs can reset and stay comfortable throughout. They head home satisfied and ready for a well-earned nap.

How is begins:

The aim is always the same: to make sure your dog feels happy, safe, and genuinely comfortable with me.

Everyone starts with a free meet and greet. We will go through the enrolment form together, talk through your dog’s routine and your own needs, and choose the service that fits best.

I usually recommend starting with a one-to-one walk first. This gives me the opportunity to get to know your dog properly, see how they are when we are out and about, and begin building a bond. If group walks are likely to be a good fit, I will also use this time to assess which type of group would feel most comfortable for them.

After the initial walk, I will share any observations, concerns, or recommendations. We can then confirm an ongoing plan and agree regular dates for walks or visits. Most dogs settle in over a 1 to 4 week trial period, and I will send you a short report card during the trial so you can see how they are getting on.
